I’ve never used too many skincare tools except a Clarisonic and after it died, I never replaced it until now (it’s been about four years). I’m glad I got a new one because I definitely see and feel a difference in my skin. I’m in love with the Clarisonic Mia Smart and the extra attachment you can get for depuffing your eyes. After the Clarisonic Mia Smart came two more really great skincare tools which are the GloPro Microneedling Regeneration Tool* by BeautyBio and the Homedics Radiance Microdermabrasion Exfoliation Device. I’ll go over all three tools and how I use them. They really are a great addition to your skincare routine, especially if you want to slow down the inevitable aging process. And if you’re in your 20s, start using anti-aging and toxin-free skincare products now. I wish someone would have told me that and I wish I cared more about my skin back then, but I was in my 20s and that wasn’t on my mind. Collagen starts to breakdown in our mid to late 20s and just gets worse after that, so start microneedling, cleansing your skin really well, using organic and toxin-free skincare products, and get on the microdermabrasion kick because you’re going to need it. And let me tell you – IT WORKS.
Clarisonic Mia Smart
We all know how important deep cleaning your skin is and the Clarisonic Mia Smart gets the job done very well. I’m currently using the Radiance Brush Head which is a gentle brush with major cleansing power. The Clarisonic Mia Smart features Soft Start, which gently transitions your skin to sonic cleansing over the first two weeks of use, which is nice if you’ve never used a sonic or deep cleansing tool before. It also has two cleansing modes and a Smart Mode that runs all applicators and routines with guided timers that take you through each zone. The Clarisonic Mia Smart comes with a charging stand that will give you up to 100 minutes of use per charge.
According to Clarisonic, you’ll have “visibly minimized pores, firmer feeling contours, appearance of eye puffiness reduced and flawless makeup blending (applicators sold separately)” by using the Clarisonic Mia Smart. I must say, I love how my skin looks and feels after using this tool and now that I’ve started deep cleaning my skin again, I feel that my organic skincare products are working much better.
How to Use the Clarisonic Mia Smart
- Pair your Clarisonic Mia Smart with the app
- Upload your routines
- Cleanse/massage/apply makeup with the various brush attachments
- And the really cool thing about the Clarisonic Mia Smart brush head is that it has a red dye in it and it will change color when it’s time for a replacement
Clarisonic Mia Smart Attachments
I’m currently using the following attachments:
- Radiance Replacement Brush Head $27
- Firming Head Massager $49.50
- Sonic Awakening Eye Massager $59

- Sonic Foundation Makeup Blending Brush $39
GloPro Microneedling Regeneration Tool
The GloPro Microneedling Regeneration Tool is amazing. I’ve been using it for over three weeks now and have visible results. I’m in my early 40s and started to see those dreaded forehead wrinkles earlier last year and I must say they have dramatically decreased after I started using my three step hydration system which I talk about below and my new tools. I think the GloPro Microneedling Regeneration Tool is probably responsible for over 75% of the results I’m seeing.
How the GloPro Microneedling Regeneration Tool Works
The GloPro Microneedling Tool pricks the outermost layer of the skin which makes the skin’s natural rejuvenation process begin. This stimulates cells and they restore volume and regenerate firmer, bouncier skin (beautybio.com). Microneedling also increases and amplifies skin’s absorption by 200 times, which makes your skin absorb your skincare products better.
How to Use the GloPro Microneedling Regeneration Tool
My GloPro Microneedling Regeneration Tool came with pads to prep your skin before getting started, but I don’t use them. I cleanse with an organic face cleanser, then do my microneedling treatment on a clean, dry face. According to GloPro’s website, they say to go horizontally, vertically, and diagonally for 30 seconds each way three times a week. I do my own thing and go diagonally in both directions in addition to going horizontally and vertically. I’m only doing the treatment about three times a week for about 2-3 minutes each time and I see a major difference. I have a few different handy attachment heads too, so I can focus on the area around my eyes, lips, and neck/body.
GloPRO utilizes micro-needle technology for visible skin-firming benefits through stainless steel micro-needle tips which safely condition the uppermost layer of skin. (beautybio.com)

- GloPro Microtip Body Attachment Head $45, Sephora
Homedics Radiance Microdermabrasion Exfoliation Device
I’ve never used a microdermabrasion tool on my face until recently. It was definitely a great addition to my skincare routine because we all need help exfoliating our skin. Sometimes scrubs don’t cut it and this handy tool will get the job done. I only use this tool a few times a week and have seen good results. My skin definitely looks smoother and fresher.
How the Homedics Microdermabrasion Exfoliating Device Works
The Homedics Microdermabrasion Exfoliating Device helps restore tone, texture, and radiance by mechanical and powerful exfoliation. This device has a diamond tip for effective exfoliation and gently vacuums away dead skin cells stimulating the new skin layer. The first time I used this device I had a few red marks, but that was my fault since I held the device on one part of my face for a bit too long. The trick is to keep moving slowly. Some areas of my face were a bit hard to keep the device on like right outside my eyes, but other than that it worked great.
- Clinically tested for professional salon-quality
- Safe and gentle for all skin types
- 50 replaceable filters for simple cleaning
- 2 diamond tips are included for sensitive and normal skin
- 4 intensity levels for maximum comfort and effectiveness
- Rechargeable in the charging stand for over 2 hours of use (homedics.com)
Skincare Products I Use After My Treatments
I’ve been doing a new three step (after cleansing) hydrating routine for the last month or so and I can’t believe how my skin looks. This came around the same time that I got all of the tools I mention above, so I think the combination of my new routine, cleansing, and anti-aging tools are doing the trick.
Hydrosols aka Botanical Sprays
Hydrosols, also known as flower waters or botanical sprays, are a by-product of the steam distillation process. They have many of the same properties as essential oils do, but they aren’t as concentrated and their aromas aren’t as strong. Hydrosols are a great addition to your regular skincare routine. They provide moisture and tone skin. Our Botanical Sprays can be seen here.
2% Vegan Hyaluronic Acid Serum
Hyaluronic Acid is a game changer. Hyaluronic Acid holds 1,000 times its weight in water and will lock in moisture and make your skin look hydrated, plumper, and firmer. A little goes a long way and you can use Hyaluronic Acid on your face, neck, décolleté, hands, and wherever else you need moisture. Hyaluronic Acid works even better when preceded with a hydrating botanical spray and followed with an organic facial oil. See our made fresh to order Vegan Hyaluronic Acid.
Argan & Prickly Pear Face Oil
Have you ever heard of prickly pear? It’s a cactus with some amazing skin benefits like helping reduce the appearance of fine lines and redness, brightens complexion, and delivers a whole lot of moisture. That’s why we added this rich oil to our new facial moisturizer along with argan, avocado, and grapeseed oils. The beautifully aromatic blend of carrot seed, frankincense, and geranium make this a well rounded and extremely effective face oil. This oil will leave your skin velvety soft. Shop Argan & Prickly Pear Face Oil.
So that’s my skincare routine that’s working for me. I’m really loving the way my skin looks and I look forward to seeing more improvements with consistency.
